Yoo Jae Suk and Yoo Hee Yeol‘s pilot variety “Sugarman” has been picked up for regular programming.
Cable channel JTBC has officially decided to produce the program as part of its regular programming, despite low ratings. According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode had a rating of 2%, while the second recorded a 1.8%. The production team of the pilot commented, “We will be presenting an upgraded program that amplifies the strengths from the pilot, while improving the weaknesses.”
Producer Yoon Hyun Joon further announced, “‘Sugarman’ will become Yoo Jae Suk and Yoo Hee Yeol’s first collaboration project. We will take viewers’ concerns and support into consideration to create an improved program.”
“Sugarman” will be Yoo Jae Suk’s first regular program on a cable network. It will officially premiere in October.
