Girls’ Generation Discusses Self-Composed Songs and Why SM Rejects Them

On September 1, Girls’ Generation finished filming for KBS 2TV Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook.” In this episode, the girls talked about their ambitions for writing their own songs.

The members of the girl group shared, “We tried to write our own songs, but the company rejected all of our songs.” The added, “We think we should add the lyrics ‘an unknown world’ or ‘goddesses of fortune’ to our songs,” causing laughter in the audience.

Meanwhile, Tiffany elaborated on her first composed song, “Bittersweet & Crazy.” She stated that “I wrote the lyrics while staring at the wall for 10 hours.” The singer also performed an acoustic version of her song, thoroughly impressing both the audience and MC Yoo Hee Yeol.
