Several idol members turn to solo work to find their moment to shine, and Goo Hara, too, will be joining this crowd this July.
According to several music industry insiders, Goo Hara will be making her debut as a solo artist for the first time in eight years since debuting as a member of KARA. According to an insider from United Asia Management, there is a large possibility of her comeback date being moved to the third week of July, right after KARA finishes promotions for “Cupid.”
She has already finished filming her music video on June 22 in total secrecy. Since her debut, Goo Hara’s potential as a solo artist has been evaluated highly due to her cute and sexy looks, and she has even been called the future Lee Hyori.
Though several members of KARA have had some experience as a solo artist or with collaboration projects, they have often passed by with little promotions. However, Goo Hara will be active in all fields including appearing in music shows as well.
Meanwhile, Goo Hara will be jumping into the girl group war of July, since so many female groups will be making a comeback at once. SISTAR, AOA, 9Muses, and NS Yoon-G have already announced their comebacks in late June, while Girls’ Generation, Girl’s Day, and A Pink will be making a comeback in July.
